UBS SECURITIES LLC is seeking an Associate Director, and Analysis Associate in New York, NY.

We’re looking for an Associate Director, Research - Quantitative Strategy - Associate to:

• Assist in the construction, accuracy and maintenance of detailed quantitative models within the research platform. Conduct primary quantitative equity research into new data sets.
• Analyze stock level, macro and industry data in the development of quantitative models and tools. Deliver high quality analysis to clients and write and publish results.
• Develop new alpha models that support trading and investment decisions and research activities.
• Create and back test tradeable investment strategies to explore inefficiencies in the financial market and identify trading signals. Utilize mathematical finance including equity pricing theory, portfolio construction and risk management.
• Can work hybrid (In-office/remote).

Your skills and experience

Education & Experience Requirement
• This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Resource Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience as an Empirical Scientific Research Associate, Teaching and Research Assistant, or related occupation.

Alternate Education & Experience Requirement (if applicable)
• The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Resource Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, or related field of study and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as an Empirical Scientific Research Associate, Teaching and Research Assistant, or related occupation.

Position requires experience with the following:
• (1) Python, SQL, R or similar programming language; (2) Oracle; (3) Data Handling (cross sectional and time series); (4) Data Science algorithms and Machine Learning techniques; (5) drivers of global equity/macro markets; (6) developing models using advanced statistical techniques.

Salary information

The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role: United States-New York-New York min USD 221000 - max USD 225000 /annum

The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
