In your role as HRIS Implementation Manager, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to coordinate and drive the successful delivery of USS's multi-module HRIS transformation programme. The role will provide day-to-day implementation management, ensuring activities remain aligned, dependencies are managed, decisions are progressed at pace, and the programme delivers its intended business outcomes. The role acts as the operational lead for implementation activity, ensuring workstreams remain aligned, dependencies are managed, issues are resolved quickly, and delivery remains on track. Working closely with the Head of HR Operations & Transformation, Project Manager, SMEs and other key project team members, the role will coordinate process design, configuration, migration an validation, testing, training and readiness activities to ensure successful implementation and adoption. As a trusted part of the HR team you will be responsible for: 1. Programme Delivery - Coordinate delivery across multiple HRIS workstreams, ensuring activities remain aligned and on track.
- Work with the Head of HR Operations & Transformation and Project Manager to deliver programme milestones and objectives.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, issues and dependencies, and escalate where required.
- Support prioritisation of activities across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Drive pace, accountability and decision-making across the programme
2. Process Design & Optimisation - Support workshops to document and redesign future-state processes
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation and self-service.
- Support BA’s & SMEs to translate business requirements into system design.
- Ensure consistency of process design across HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Reward and Learning functions.
3. Data Migration (HRIS Replacement Programme) - Work with business SMEs and supplier to support data cleansing, mapping, transformation and migration activities.
- Ensure data migration plans, data quality controls and validation activities are delivered to agreed timelines.
- Coordinate migration rehearsals, mock loads and cutover preparation activities.
- Support resolution of data defects, migration issues and reconciliation exceptions.
- Ensure migrated data supports operational, payroll, reporting and compliance requirements.
4. System Configuration & Testing - Lead and coordinate system configuration activities with the supplier and SMEs.
- Ensure configuration decisions are documented, tracked and delivered with the PM?
- Coordinate system testing cycles, defect management and resolution activities?
- Support preparation for User Acceptance Testing and ensure agreed actions are completed.
5. Training & Knowledge Transfer - Support delivery of the train-the-trainer approach.
- Support the development of training materials and user guidance in conjunction with L&D.
- Build internal capability to support sustainable administration and management of the new platform post go-live.
- Ensure knowledge transfer is completed from supplier to internal teams.
6. Change & Readiness Delivery - Work with SME’s to drive and execute agreed change and readiness activities.
- Coordinate business readiness plans and track completion of readiness actions.
- Support stakeholder communications and business engagement activity.
- Assist managers, employees and HR teams in preparing for new processes and system functionality.

To be successful in the role you will have: - Proven experience delivering complex HRIS or HCM implementations.
- Experience managing multi-module HR technology programmes (e.g. HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Talent, Learning, Benefits).
- Experience of end-to-end project delivery, including configuration, testing, data migration, training and go-live activities.
- Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes and operating models.
- Experience facilitating process redesign, simplification and automation initiatives.
- Experience supporting train-the-trainer and knowledge transfer approaches.
- Strong programme coordination and delivery management skills.
- Ability to drive progress, challenge constructively and resolve issues at pace.
- Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
