About the Role:
Vanguard's Financial Advisor Services (FAS) division is building an AI-powered platform that guides seller decisions, automates routine work, and surfaces the right insight at the right moment. This is a 0→1 build with executive sponsorship.
This is a regulated financial services environment — compliance, auditability, and explainability are built into the product.
You'll own this product end-to-end — from discovery through scaled rollout — building capabilities that directly impact how sales crew serve our clients.
What You'll Own:
Problem Discovery & Product Sense
- Lead continuous discovery with sales users and leaders across multiple roles and channels.
- Define what to build, for whom, and in what order.
Platform Build & Execution
- Own the product roadmap from MVP through scaled adoption.
- Drive phased delivery from pilot through broad rollout.
- Make scope and sequencing trade-offs under real constraints.
- Drive product adoption where usage is earned, not mandated.
AI/Agentic Product Development
- Define how AI agents behave within the product and what governs that behavior.
- Partner with data scientists and engineers on models, recommendations, and generative features.
Product Analytics & Metrics
- Own how we measure success and make scale/no-scale decisions.
- Establish baselines and run rigorous pilots.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, UX, Sales Leadership, and Compliance to ship with quality.
- Drive build/buy/partner decisions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of product management experience, with depth in 0→1 builds through scaled adoption.
- Direct experience shipping AI/ML-powered products — LLMs, ML models, and generative features in production.
- Experience building agentic AI products.
- Strong problem discovery practice.
- Rigorous product analytics skills.
- Excellent product execution — you prototype, define evals, and drive cross-functional delivery to production.
- Experience with enterprise or B2B products.
Preferred
- Background in sales technology or CRM platforms.
- Experience in regulated financial services
- Familiarity with mobile-first product design for field-based users.
