As part of a multi-cloud engineering organization, you will work across both Azure and AWS environments while leading a team responsible for cloud integration initiatives and the development of next-generation AI-powered experiences that are deeply embedded within our workflows. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical strategy, grow engineering talent, and deliver innovative solutions that support Vanguard's evolving Advice platform. Engineering Managers serve as the single accountable leader for their team. This role is intentionally designed to combine strong technical expertise, people leadership, and delivery accountability. This Hybrid Role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs).

Core Responsibilities:

• People Leadership and Delivery Accountability: The leader oversees a team of engineers, drives high-quality outcomes and ensures timely delivery.
• Technical Skillset: Strong hands-on coding and engineering skills enable the leader to make effective technical decisions and provide guidance.
• Coaching and Development: The leader fosters continuous improvement by coaching and developing team members.
• Agile Stewardship: Ensures Agile events occur, are productive, and foster collaboration.
• Removing Roadblocks: Identifies and resolves impediments to maintain smooth delivery.

Direct Reports:

• 6–8 direct reports.

Must Have Skills:

• People leadership, persuasion, and strategic thinking.
• Technical skills in Dynamics 365, AWS/Azure, Python, and JavaScript.
• Prioritization, decision-making, and sound judgment.
• Ability to develop others, drive engagement, and establish vision and purpose.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years related work experience with a minimum of 5 years project management experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.​
